Materials:

•A washcloth
•Approximately 24" of ribbon- 1/4" to 1/2" wide - economical craft ribbon is fine
•A sewing machine with thread to match the washcloth ... Read More
•A variety of travel or trial size personal care items.(If you are sewing these for charity, ask for a discount with your club or group id explaining the purpose for your purchase
Step 1
•Fold the washcloth in thirds.
•Leave one third folded up with the right sides of the washcloth together. (I consider the side with the label the wrong side.)
•Place a 12" piece of ribbon inside the washcloth into the seam approximately 1" down from the top of the folded washcloth on each end. {To make the kit a roll, sew both ribbons into one end seam. Pin in place.)
•Sew a seam on each end, backstitching at each end of the seam, sewing on the edge or hem of the washcloth.
•Turn right side out, being sure to push out the corners.
Step 2
•Lay the personal care items on the folded area of the washcloth, leaving enough space between them for the three dimensional aspect of the items.
•Mark the line location.
•Sew a seam, backstitching at each end of the seam, keeping the lines straight. If you use straight pins as shown in the photo, remove the pins before you start to sew.
•Trim the threads and fill the personal care kit.
•Tie or roll, depending on how you sewed the ribbons on, and tie the ribbons.
